How it started
Ajay Flower Shop began as a small counter on Sadar Bazar Road in Delhi Cantonment — a few buckets of roses, a roll of ribbon, and customers who walked over from Kabul Lines and the streets around it. Many of those customers still come. Some now send their children.
Twenty years of local floral expertise
The work grew. Everyday bouquets turned into wedding stages, decorated cars, birthday setups in people's living rooms, and standing arrangements for offices nearby. We learned the venues around the Cantonment well enough to know what a space can take before we quote for it.
What hasn't changed is the method. Flowers bought fresh, arrangements built by hand, and one person you can actually reach on the phone. There is no call centre here and no script. If something goes wrong you speak to the same people who made it.
Why we stay open all night
Flowers rarely arrive with notice. A hospital visit at midnight, a 5 a.m. flight, a wedding running three hours behind, a birthday somebody forgot. Those are the moments people need a florist who answers, and they are the reason the shutter stays up.
